PRIVACY

Your information.
Clear boundaries.

This page explains how Owuntu, operated by Magnara Inc., handles information. Questions or requests can be sent to owuntu@magnara.ca.

What we handle.

Owuntu uses Telegram identifiers and display names to recognize authorized participants. After consent, supported messages, food photos, captions and AI responses may be stored. We also keep the access, consent and technical state needed to operate the bot.

Conversations may contain sensitive information about your health or personal life. Share only information you are comfortable providing. Avoid unnecessary information about other people.

Private and shared conversations.

Your private bot history is separate from your team's shared record. Other team members cannot ask the bot to retrieve your private journal. Authorized team members can ask about shared group history. Information you post directly into a Telegram group is visible to its members under Telegram's own rules.

The hosting administrator can access stored records to operate and support the service. Private from other participants does not mean inaccessible to the administrator.

AI processing.

When you explicitly ask for AI help, relevant authorized history, selected images and educational reference passages may be sent to third-party AI services. Ordinary supported journal entries are stored without an automatic AI response. AI services have their own processing and retention practices; contact us for current provider details.

AI answers can be inaccurate. Food-photo estimates are not measurements, and summaries are not a substitute for reviewing important information with your professional.

Storage, withdrawal and deletion.

Bot records are retained until explicitly deleted. Use /withdraw in the relevant chat to stop the corresponding capture. Withdrawal does not automatically delete earlier records.

Use /delete_private CONFIRM privately to remove your private bot history and reset consent. The team owner can use /delete_group CONFIRM in the group to clear its bot history. Specialists can use /delete_shared CONFIRM privately to remove their bot group contributions; cached group AI answers are also discarded because they may include derived information.

Deleting bot records does not delete Telegram messages, information already seen or copied by recipients, or records held by AI providers. Deletion is not a guarantee of secure erasure from underlying media or infrastructure backups. Removing a specialist's bot access does not automatically remove them from the Telegram group.

For access, correction or deletion requests not covered by the commands, email us. Do not include unnecessary sensitive details in your initial request.

Security and third-party services.

Telegram bot chats are not end-to-end encrypted. Owuntu uses restricted server storage and application-level access controls, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Telegram and hosting/AI providers may process information under their own policies.

The marketing website has no signup forms, advertising trackers or analytics scripts. Hosting infrastructure still processes technical requests needed to deliver the pages.

Changes and contact.

We may update this information as the service changes. The date above identifies this version. Review the bot's current disclosure before giving consent. For privacy questions, contact owuntu@magnara.ca.
